I know this is my first post, but I’m just going to jump right in.
We have these friends. Had? I don’t know. Anyway we hung out quite a bit last year and haven’t seen them ONCE this year. This calendar year.
She keeps saying they’re too broke to go out and do anything, and she’s not happy so she wouldn’t be ‘fun’. Then she says she’s busy every weekend. Doing what, you ask? Oh, traveling, hanging out with other friends, playing golf, eating out, seeing movies…
So why can’t you just say ‘we’re done’? You don’t want to be friends anymore, that’s cool, I get it. You’re kind of annoying too. I was willing to put up with it since I did enjoy you overall. But apparently the feeling was not mutual. So: GET OVER YOURSELF. You don’t have to keep up the pretense of a friendship by having superficial IM conversations with me, NEVER invite us to do anything, and come up with lame excuses when I invite you to do something.
Frankly, it’s pathetic. Your life does not suck as much as you think it does, you’re not ‘broke’, and it was your fucking fault you owe taxes this year.
